Why OSS?

Postby hkcollector » Sat Sep 12, 2015 11:30 pm

My first question is what is with the shape? I have a MR762 and I understand that your Suppressor is coming on a version of that gun now. I want one but I was wondering if you could explain the reason for the weird shape. It looks cool but wouldn't there be more volume if it was round?

I've been running the 7.62 OSS on my Remington 700 308 bolt action, DPMS .260 semi auto (Washington civilian cant have the full autos here)
Happy with the sound/lack of on both weapons (full velocity & no ears), lot less blowback on the gas gun (i also run adjustable gas block)

Octagon shape seems to be more of a gimic to me, saying that i don't have a full auto to test my 2 cans to see if heat mirage off the can makes a visual difference.

The main thing for the OSS can is the reduction of blowback that full & semi auto rifles create (most cans create more blowback and can over-gas rifles and create feed & extraction issues and damage parts.
