Postby Omega-Man » Mon Jan 02, 2012 3:49 am

Title says it all. There are several Suppressors out there specific to various SMG's At this point, are they under pistols, rifles, ect ? How about a section for them alone......

+1 and and testing results that include host, ammo, barrel length, POS and ROF change.
If it doesn't splatter, shatter, burst or explode, it's not worth shooting.

+1 for the SMG section. MACs and Slide-fire stocks make high-volume-of-fire endurance an issue more people can afford to worry about.

CAP silencers Made in Namibia, used on UZI, BXP,Mp-5 (which is not really a SMG) and others full auto is no issue. CAP silencers have been tested by 11 people with 11 magazines shooting over 2100 rounds, front end of South African R-4 (licensed and improved copy of .223 Galil) hand guard melted and fell off through the test, but we continued shooting until Silencer was cherry red. Test was stopped for fear of hot rifle stoppage and subsequent cook off and accident. Silencer got new surface treatment and was sold to special forces.
CAP silencers used on sniper rifles SS-86 and SS-92 grouped 7cm at 600m. They have been rated the best by German Engineer and author of the SILENCER BOOK Martin Erbigner the best he has tested.

Ongolo: What is the baffle stack design, dimensions, construction materials etc.? I did some web searching and found one under CAP that showed a helical mono core design. Was that it?
